Seminar Organized by CODOID Research Center at Tidel Park
On 26 November 2023 Codoid Research Center in collaboration with the Institutions Innovation Council had organised an event with an aim to cover the existing gap between the Industry Need/Requirements and the available student talent pool.
The event was presided over by Mr. Mohan, Vice Chancellor PTU. Representatives from various colleges in and around Chennai were also present at the event.
Mr. Denis Charlese, General Manager – BGI , along with senior management people from Ashok Leyland and skill development program managers from various other industries were also present during the interaction and a few of them even raised concerns to the students.
Engineering students across departments and academicians from various colleges in and around Chennai were also present during the interaction. The event also had representatives from the Tamil Nadu skill development corporation.
As a part of the The Institution’s Innovation Council regional meet organised in collaboration with the Ministry of Education, MOE’s Innovation Cell (Government of India) and AICTE had organised a Round table discussion on the Topic: Innovation: IP Commercialization & Technology Transfer Strategies & IIc Consortium at Crescent Engineering College. The representatives from various Industries, Academicians and representatives from the government participated in the panel discussion. The Tamil Nadu Skill development Director had presented the various initiatives taken by the government to encourage budding talents to be able to carry on with their research in various fields and also to conduct a feasibility study to assess the viability / market feasibility of the project. The issues raised by the educationalists and the industry experts were noted down and the action points towards the same will be shared with the participants. It has also been agreed upon to start a WhatsApp group for future engagements.

Meet-JSRS: Season 2 (2023) is an initiative of BGI that brings the Joint Supplier Registration System (JSRS) directly to companies across Oman through a series of 10 Roadshows that will be conducted in each Omani Governorate and an additional 3 Roadshows planned for UAE & Saudi Arabia.
