Projects in 2024
The Launch of the Upgraded JSRS Platform
businessgateways is proud to unveil the enhanced Joint Supplier Registration System (JSRS) Platform, tailored to meet the demands of Oman’s growing procurement ecosystem and supporting the nation’s strategic vision.
To keep up with the growing procurement ecosystem in Oman, the businessgateways team has been working hard on developing an upgraded JSRS platform. This upgraded platform will bring together Procurement Operations of all Sectors in Oman under a single unified platform to support Oman’s strategic vision.
The upgraded JSRS Platform is designed to intensify Contracts Management, hosts multiple enhanced features to support all Stakeholders and will add a new dimension to Oman’s ICV enforcement via Procurement models.
The Launch of the Oman Internal Scholarship Subsidy on NSS
Following the success of developing and maintaining Oman’s National Subsidy System for fuel and electricity, Business Gateways was entrusted with the implementation of the country’s Education Subsidy System. Faced with an ambitious and seemingly impossible deadline of just one month, our Business Gateways India team embraced the challenge with determination and focus.
Our dedicated team worked tirelessly, day and night, 24/7, to ensure the deadline was met. In an extraordinary effort, the team rolled out the first phase within that short period, enabling deserving students in Oman to benefit from crucial educational subsidies. We express our deepest thanks and gratitude to His Majesty, the Sultan of Oman, for his visionary leadership and unwavering support in fostering initiatives that prioritize the well-being of Omani citizens.
The introduction of the Education Subsidy System is a testament to His Majesty’s commitment to empowering the youth of Oman through education, ensuring they have the opportunities and resources needed to thrive. We hope many other countries will recognize the importance of investing in their students— the future generation and key to shaping the nation’s future. Know more
Launch of RABT – Phase 1
The RABT platform, a ground-breaking initiative by the Industrial Innovation Academy, implemented and operated by Business Gateways International (BGI). RABT is a digital interactive platform designed to enhance procurement opportunities for industrial products within the Sultanate of Oman.
RABT serves as a comprehensive hub that connects Oman-based Manufacturers, Industrial Service Providers, and potential Investors. The platform focuses on stimulating the local procurement of industrial products and enhancing In-Country Value (ICV) by promoting the use of Omani products in industrial facilities.
As a first cut release (Phase 1), we have boarded the Oman-based Manufacturers (Industrial Organisations) from the Industrial Estates (Madayn) for updating their Profile and Certification process.
Phase 2 Development is currently in progress, with this release we will on-board the Monitoring Authorities and they will get access to the Industrial Organisations data for their Procurement needs.
Phase 3 (Contracts Management System and ICV Monitoring) and Phase 4 (Investment Scope) Development will be commenced on completion of the on-going Development.

Business Gateways International India had conducted an insightful webinar!
The “India-Russia: Establishing Business Connections” webinar was a success with many companies attending the webinar to gain insights into the promising opportunities for bilateral trade and collaboration between India and Russia.

4 – 6 March: International Engineering Sourcing Show 2024 (IESS)
IESS (International Engineering Sourcing Show), is a mega display of Indian Engineering Merchandise across the verticals and this will turn eleven in February, 2024. IESS XI will be a three day event over 4-5-6 March at CODISSIA, in Coimbatore advocating #SmartSustainableEngineering as the show theme.
IESS across 10 editions,6 Partner Countries/Regions ( Canada, Czech Republic twice, Poland, COMESA as a region, Russia, Malaysia twice) from 4 Continents ( North America, Europe, Africa and Asia), presence of more than 13 States and UT from all four regions of India has graduated to a global engineering sourcing show.

22 – 24 April 2024: JeM-Oman at OPES 2024
Enabling Hybrid Engagements Worldwide for JSRS Certified Companies
BGI has created the JSRS eMarketplace (JeM), the hybrid event enabling B2B activities for companies in the JSRS Certified Network at prestigious events worldwide.
The second version of JeM is JeM-Oman, embedded in OPES 2024 at the Oman Convention & Exhibition Centre. BGI was pleased to meet with JSRS Certified Omani Suppliers and interested Companies at COMEX 2024, supporting them to learn about advancements in Oman’s IT Sector, which was showcased by exhibiting companies in COMEX 2024. 20 – 21 June : CSSOPE 2024
businessgatewayswas pleased to participate in the China Sourcing Summit on Petroleum & Chemical Equipment (CSSOPE 2024) on 20 – 21 June 2024 in Shanghai, China.
Hemant Murkoth, Director & CEO, businessgateways gave a presentation on the Joint Supplier Registration System (JSRS) at CSSOPE 2024. Interested Companies attended the session to learn more about Oman’s Energy Industry and opportunities for Suppliers.
JSRS Certified Suppliers and Interested Companies who visited CSSOPE, Shanghai, met with us to learn about Oman, its Energy Industry and explore potential opportunities.
RABT Cooperative Agreement
In a significant milestone for Oman’s industrial development, several government entities and partners came together to sign the cooperation agreement for the RABT. This initiative aims to strengthen the value of Oman’s Industrial Sector and enhance local content in government projects, contracts and procurement through the implementation of a new digital platform.

19 – 20 September 2024: Valve World Summit India 2024
Business Gateways International was pleased to participate in the prestigious Valve World Summit India 2024, an International Valve Trade Fair & Conference, that took place from 19-20 September 2024 at Hall 3, Bombay Exhibition Center, Mumbai, India.
At the summit, Mr. Ibrahim Al-Sadi, Sr. Executive, Projects, led the presentation on the JSRS (Joint Supplier Registration System) and its transformative impact on India’s and global business communities. Alongside him, Mr. Denis Charlese, General Manager – Operations, also participated in the trade fair, by offering further insights into the system’s capabilities and benefits. This session was a success among professionals eager to explore the advantages of the dynamic system, which over the past decade had revolutionised supplier registration and interaction with buyers and operators and continues to do so. We were pleased to meet with all the companies during the Expo.
23 September 2024: Vietnam Visits to BGI India office
The delegate from the Vietnam Chamber visited Businessgateways India on 23 September 2024, where discussions focused on BGI India providing technology support via IT project development, consulting services, resource outsourcing, and training on technology, procurement, and language. Additionally, they discussed the role of JSRS as a sourcing partner for onboarding suppliers to Oman’s oil and gas industry, with an emphasis on supporting Vietnamese companies as suppliers and facilitating B2B connections through the JSRS CSN network.
30 September 2024: Tanzania Delegates visit the BGI Oman Office
BGI was excited in hosting a high profile Business Delegation from the United Republic of Tanzania on the 30 September 2024, led by His Excellency Sharif Ali Sherif, Minister of State, President’s Office, Zanzibar, His Excellency Hon. Stanslaus Haroon Nyongo, Deputy Minister, President’s Office, His Excellency Said Salim Al Sinawi The Consul General of The Sultanate of Oman in Zanzibar, the Executive Management from TCCIA, ZIPA and other senior members from the Govt and Private Sectors of Tanzania.
The delegation was given a warm welcome by the management and staff of BGI.
A presentation on the achievements of BGI, especially around BGI’s Local Content Platforms was delivered to the delegation.
His Excellencies and the delegates were also briefed on the upcoming Global Business Framework (GBF) project of businessgateways that would potentially empower Tanzanian Business Communities to e-connect to Oman and the rest of the world. The GBF elicited keen interest from His
Excellencies who affirmed all support for the successful implementation of the GBF. This discussion was agreed to be followed soon by a visit by BGI to Tanzania, and continued further

14 – 18 October : GITEX 2024
BGI Oman and BGI India team attended the GITEX 2024 Event. We thank all the companies who came to visit us during the event. It was a pleasure meeting you and discussing how our solutions can help your organisation achieve its goals through Local Content Enablement, In-Country Value (ICV) initiatives, and digital transformation. 23 – 25 October 2024: Windergy India 2024
Windergy India 2024 took place from October 23 to 25 2024, in Chennai, India. Organised by the Indian Wind Turbine Manufacturers Association (IWTMA) and PDA Ventures Pvt Ltd, the sixth edition of Windergy India featured a three-day trade fair and a two-day conference. This event provided a dynamic platform for engaging with policymakers, regulatory authorities, as well as both international and domestic technology, solutions, and service providers from the wind power industry.

businessgateways was pleased to meet with JSRS Suppliers and Companies at ADIPEC 2024 Event. Companies met with us to learn about the JSRS Certification and explore potential B2B opportunities.

25 Nov 2024: Oman Hong Kong Business Seminar by OCCI
The Oman-Hong Kong Business and Investment Forum which took place at the Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry (OCCI), was planned to support and strengthen the economic ties between the Sultanate of Oman and Hong Kong. Hosted by OCCI in collaboration with the Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC), the forum served as a platform to explore opportunities, and mutual economic growth. BGI thanks OCCI for inviting us to this Forum.
26 November : OQ ICV Workshop in Sohar
The OQ ICV Workshop – Sohar focused on supporting OQ contractors in achieving their SME and ICV obligations. The event included a presentation on the JSRS Contract Management System (JSRS-CMS) to guide contractors in managing SME commitments and using the platform effectively. Additionally, the workshop addressed challenges related to the MARS system, providing tailored solutions and practical advice to enhance reporting accuracy.
27 – 29 November : IESS 2024
Business Gateways was pleased to participate in the IESS 2024 Event which was held at the Chennai Trade Centre, Chennai, India. Tenacity 2024 – Celebrating 10 years of BGI – Our Journey so far
14 July 2024, is an important milestone for BGI, as it signifies 10 years of BGI functioning in India.
Backed by the experience, valuable insights and strategies gained from operating in Oman, we have been aggressively expanding into the Indian market, aiming to effectively navigate the unique challenges and opportunities here.
By leveraging its expertise and adapting proven business models and capitalising on the immense growth potential offered by the market, Business Gateways International India Pvt Ltd. intends to establish a strong presence in India.
What started as a small team has since grown into a large family of Developers, Tester, IT Support & Designers.

Celebrating the decade milestone
On 19 July 2024, BGI India (Chennai and Pondicherry office) gathered at Raj Banquet Hall to celebrate the 10-year anniversary. The day began with a welcome speech given by Denis Charlese S (General Manager – Operations), followed by presentations given by the Head of the Departments. Hafidh Saif Majid Al Mahruqi (Director – Business Development), Dr. Nasser AL-Dhahli (Director – HR & Admin) and Hemant Murkoth (Chief Executive Officer (CEO) & Director) each gave an impactful speech on BGI and the vision we have set for ourselves in the coming future. What followed next was a day filled with entertaining activities, celebrating each other and good food.
During the celebration, we thanked Juara, Askon, Redbox, HashStudioz, Codoid, Qplanet & Tec city labs for their support and celebrated the following key players without whom we would not have completed the final leap towards the launch of the upgraded JSRS Platform.
- Yogesh – an All-rounder; for his continuous support across all our ongoing projects.
- Narayan Barik, Rajeswari M and Ramya – for their behind-the-screen support in replenishing the team’s energy.
